My work is a reaction to the natural environment. I use what I find compelling about specific elements or locations as a point of departure to convey something more abstract. My emphasis is on suggested form and motion, the interplay of rhythms and patterns, and the narrative ambiguity created through line, shape, color, and gesture, all evoking an idea of place.
